Sunday, December 22, 2013 EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE!WE HAVE GREAT NEWS!
JOE DUBOIS, basically a co-founder, along with Holly Reynolds, of COLAA, has been named as Executive Director of the St. Tammany Humane Society located in Covington, beginning January 2, 2014. We, who have known Joe for so many years, are thrilled that we get to keep he and Mary here in Louisiana doing what he’s done so passionately for so many years - helping animals live a better life and working to have a better future. STHS is very fortunate to have Joe at the helm of their organization and wish them both much success in their future endeavors. As a side note, St. Tammany Humane Society has been in existence for many years founded by none other than our own Holly Reynolds. 7:05 amCOURT UPDATE:... Today went awesome. Well the court was just an arraignment where Gabriel Lee got his court appointed attorney so that was just a quick in and out thing. Here is the news of the day... THE PROSECUTOR HAS A RESCUE DOG !! There will be NO plea deals offered. He has 2 options 1) plead guilty as charged 2) go to trial The prosecutor is taking the case to heart. She was waving to us when we came into court today. Everything she said I liked. When the court appointed lawyer came up to meet the defendant she opened her file and handed him the picture of Braveheart in the storage building. Can I get a "you go girl" for Amanda Sullivan (I think I spelled the last name right) I was nervous about today. This lady is OUR kind of people. She will get us whatever justice is possible. Today was a good day. Brave will sleep good tonight  Braveheart
